The Sundays River Valley Provincial Arts and Culture Festival hosted by Sundays River Primary School is currently the biggest educational festival of its kind with the focus on Arts and Culture in the Eastern Cape. With more than 50 Primary and High Schools participating in the 2017 festival, participants are again able to participate in 12 categories with more than 50 sub-sessions such as Instrumental Music, Bands, Dance, Singing, Choirs, Speech and Drama, Creative Writing, Karate, Provincial Choir Competition, Provincial Singing Competition, Arts and Crafts including themed categories, Photography and many more. Huge cash and other magnificent prizes up for grabs with the compliments of our dedicated sponsors. This unique festival has become extremely popular the past 6 years and is highly respected for its outstanding adjudicators, professional standard and above all, the sincere friendliness of festival staff. Participants are always treated with the utmost respect and the general festival atmosphere presents the true, relaxed countryside atmosphere where the tranquillity is enhanced with the scent of fresh orange blossoms that permeates the air. The festival is further enhanced with a great variety of food and other vendors on the premises. This year also includes live marimba/djembe performances from Mozambique including professional workshops.
